New Weekly Classes:

Mindful Midday Flow with Noël – Thursdays at noon
This practice is designed to help you tune into your body and your breath, your way. We move at a moderate pace, exploring a combination of dynamic movement, longer holds, yogic philosophy, and meditation, balancing the opportunity to increase strength and flexibility with the development of compassionate self-awareness. All levels welcome, with props available and modifications offered to accommodate a wide range of experience levels and abilities. This mid-day class is focused on getting you energized and centering the mind for a productive day.

Yin Yoga with Jenn L – Thursdays at 6:30pm
Opposite of yang type yoga( hatha, Iyengar, power) Yin yoga is a slow paced yoga practice in which postures are held anywhere from 2-5 minutes each. Props such as blocks, bolsters and blankets are used to help access certain postures and for extra support.  This type of yoga has a deeper meditative approach and its a great way to to connect with the present moment. Some of the great benefits of this practice are: lower levels of anxiety, lower blood pressure, deep tissue release, increased flexibility and calming of the mind.
Yin yoga is a wonderful tool to just slow down, observe and appreciate the now.

Equanimity Yoga with Wendy – FREE Community Class, Fridays at 5pm for 10 weeks starting March 1st

Equanimity is the ability to maintain a sense of calm and composure amidst life’s challenges.  It requires strength, balance, and flexibility.  Our practice on the yoga mat helps us to cultivate these qualities in body and mind. Using the breath, we will connect mind to muscle in poses that develop strength and balance.  We will also explore poses that create space and flexibility through the release of thoughts and beliefs which no longer serve us.
Wendy is currently enrolled in teacher training at Frog Pond Yoga.

Monthly Classes:

Restorative Yoga with Noël – Sunday February 17th at 5pm
This calming and rejuvenating practice combines supported positions, calming music, essential oils (optional), and guided meditation. We begin with gentle floor-based warm ups and then move into supported positions where we spend 5-10 minutes each, in order to allow the body to fully settle into each posture. With our bodies at ease, we are able to tune into our breath for a deeper experience of clarity and intention. We end with an extended final relaxation pose (savasana). No experience necessary. Bolsters, blankets, eye pillows, and blocks will be available, but please feel free to bring your own if you choose.

Let Your Yoga Dance with Ann-Marie – Saturday February 23rd at 11am

A dancing yoga fusion to awaken the bodies’ energy centers (the chakras). This program combines yoga and world music with dancing,  movement and fun! Good for every-body!
